Follow-Up COVID-19 Survey

In 2020, Professional Historians Australia conducted a national survey of members to find out how the pandemic was impacting on them and to consider ways that it could provide support. Please click here to see the results of the 2020 COVID-19 survey.

Several actions came out of this survey, including the establishment of a national Zoom account that all state and territory PHAs can access. This has assisted PHAs to keep in touch with members for meetings and drop-in sessions, reading groups and professional development opportunities. The national newsletter, Historia, was shortened and published more regularly, to help members stay connected.

A follow-up survey was completed in December 2021, to consider how members were faring as the pandemic continued. The results of this second survey are now available here.

Thank you to those members who took the time to complete the questionnaire, and special thanks to Jill Barnard for developing the survey and Alannah Croom for analysing the results.

Please contact PHA President Carmel Black via email Carmel.Black2@bigpond.com or your state delegate at any time if you have suggestions or concerns that can be addressed by the national PHA management committee.
